Grant funds were approved to support the Foundation for Norfolk Living as they deploy a multi-pronged approach to strengthen organizational infrastructure, develop a rubric for assessing potential future projects, and identify how best to ensure the long-term health of its real estate portfolio.

The Foundation for Norfolk Living has worked to expand affordable housing options in Norfolk since 2005, including the development of 12 rental units in the historic town center and Haystack Woods, a 10-home community of super-energy efficient single family houses for first-time homebuyers of modest means.
