2021 was a significant year for FCH, marking our first year of implementation of our strategic plan which was approved in April. Overall the foundation granted over $1M to 33 nonprofit organizations, with nearly $600k allocated towards FCH’s new strategic priority area: Strengthen Organizations. We work together with people and organizations to improve the health and well-being of residents in our community, especially those that have historically been under-resourced.
The Foundation for Community Health was initially funded with the net assets of the sale and conversion of Sharon Hospital in 2003 and is a supporting organization of the Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation, Community Foundations of the Hudson Valley and Northwest Connecticut Community Foundation.
