Why We Funded This
Funding advocacy efforts can illuminate systemic challenges and opportunities, leading to strategic ways our grantee partners and FCH can influence policy to create more amenable conditions for lasting change.
This second year of funding supports a stipend for a Health Policy Fellow that works to persuade the Connecticut General Assembly to make a law that eliminates the barriers to dental therapy education and vocation. Dental therapy is a sustainable workforce solution for remaining and maintaining a robust safety-net to meet oral health needs.
