Grant funds were part of a pooled fund of the Housing Funders Affinity Group, a fiscally sponsored initiative of the Connecticut Council for Philanthropy, to support a nonprofit's efforts to create state-wide infrastrucutre to bolster affordable housing work in Connecticut.

Connecticut’s Housing Funders Affinity Group, made of 14 foundations, began a three-year initiative to provide a selected housing grantee funding to engage other housing groups, facilitate knowledge-sharing, identify and share housing solutions, and more collaborative activities. This project built on FCH’s interests in improving community assets, regionally and state-wide, with the intent to establish a strong suburban and rural housing movement.
